3-D Scans / Cone Beam CT

What is Cone Beam CT?

Cone Beam Computed Tomography is a high definition, 3-D scanner for your teeth and jaws. It allows us to see and diagnose much more than traditional two dimensional images allow. The technology is used for everything from planning the surgical placement of implants, to diagnosing the origin of pain or pathology. Essentially, it allows us to see things we could never see before. Note: Cone Beam scanners emit up to 100 times less radiation than traditional hospital CT scanners. For our particular type of scanner, it emits a little more than three times that of a single dental xray film exposure.
